Five arrested as police swoop on drug haul in eastern suburbs
Five people have been arrested after police seized a large haul of drugs and cash in raids in Melbourne’s inner suburbs.

Cocaine, ice, ketamine and a large amount of money have been seized in a police swoop at Balaclava and Carnegie.
Five people were arrested and an imitation gun and ammunition seized as part of the operation by Caulfield divisional response unit detectives.
Police said cannabis, cocaine, methylamphetamine, MDMA, ketamine and $35,000 were confiscated as warrants were carried out.
The raids were part of an ongoing operation.
A 30-year-old Balaclava man has been charged with drug trafficking and possession offences and is expected to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
A 26-year-old Balaclava woman was charged with possessing cannabis and bailed.
A 25-year-old Balaclava man faces counts of possessing cartridge ammunition and possessing methylamphetamine while a 23-year-old Balaclava woman was arrested and released pending summons.
A 27-year-old Balaclava woman received a caution for drug possession.
“These arrests form part of an operation which has been running for over 12 months and targeting criminal networks believed to be trafficking primarily methylamphetamine in the inner south eastern suburbs of Melbourne,” Victoria Police said.
