A notorious Finks bikie with a need for speed in flash cars — despite not holding a driver’s licence — has unleashed his Fast and Furious-style driving on Victorian roads.

Former Gold Coast badboy Kris Spizzirri — the playboy son of veteran drug kingpin Dino Spizzirri — is no stranger to Queensland’s criminal courts.

The serial road menace’s traffic violations extend back to June 1997 and include more than 30 convictions for driving while disqualified and dozens of speeding fines.

His rapsheet also includes violence and guns and drugs offences, with multiple stints behind bars.

Spizzirri, 38, was locked up on Friday for 12 months after once again thumbing his nose at the road rules.

Melbourne Magistrates Court heard since he moved to Victoria from the sunshine state in June 2018, he has been caught driving while disqualified at least seven times.

He pleaded guilty to 24 charges including drive at a speed dangerous, unlicensed driving, careless driving, running a red traffic light, using false plates and driving an unregistered vehicle.

Spizzirri also admitted dealing in property suspected of being proceeds of crime, possessing cocaine and cartridge ammunition, and failing to answer bail.

The charges relate to a series of separate driving incidents with the most serious involving him travelling in a Mercedes Benz at 175kmh in a 60kmh zone through Port Melbourne streets in an attempt to avoid police on June 9.

The court heard police observed him driving at excessive speeds, taking “just over a minute” to travel a 3-4km journey.

Spizzirri was forced to flee on foot when the car ran out of fuel, with CIRT officers arresting him after a 200m chase.

He was already on bail after he lost control and crashed a Porsche into a power pole, splitting it in half on impact, in Port Melbourne in May last year.

Magistrate Andrew Capell described Spizzirri’s driving offending as “horrific”.

“It’s also in the context of you having multiple prior convictions for ignoring court orders and continuing to drive because it suits you,” Mr Capell said.

Mr Capell said he “gave up” on counting how many disqualified driving convictions Spizzirri had when looking at his criminal record.

“He’s got a total disregard for the law. He’s got a total disregard for court orders. He just keeps driving,” Mr Capell said.

Spizzirri’s lawyer Dean Cole said his client’s crimes had been fuelled by his addiction to drugs since he was a teenager.

Suggesting Spizzirri had now learnt his lesson, Mr Cole said: “It’s never too late to have some reassessment or reflection of where your life is going.”

He said Spizzirri planned to return to Queensland on his release to be with his family.
