A mother and her three-year-old child have made a lucky escape after a two-car crash near Wangaratta claimed the lives of the two men in the other vehicle.

A mother and child have survived a fatal car crash that killed two people in Laceby, near Wangaratta on Saturday morning.
Police Major Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the two-car crash near the intersection of Greta Rd and Brian Higgins Drive where two vehicles collided about 10am.
Emergency services arrived but two men died at the scene, the woman and three-year-old child were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police spokesman Glenn Manison said the two men were travelling in the same vehicle.
“The two deceased were both in the same car, which was a 1955 Holden FJ sedan,” he said.
“They were a 64-year-old driver from Staghorn Flat (near Wodonga) and his 77-year-old passenger from Guilford.”
Police investigators travelled up from Melbourne to Laceby to determine the circumstances of the crash, the investigation is still ongoing.
