Woman killed in shooting in Ararat, Melbourne
Police are investigating after an elderly woman was shot dead inside her home in Victoria’s southwest on Tuesday.

An elderly man involved in the fatal shooting of a woman in Victoria’s west on Tuesday has died.
Detectives were investigating the shooting at Kennel Rd in Ararat about 11.45am that left an 87-year-old woman dead.
A 91-year-old man who was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with life-threatening injuries has also died.
It was believed the pair were known to each other, with police not looking for anyone else in relation to the shooting.
Horsham Family Violence Unit officers will investigate the incident.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
