A woman has been dragged out of her luxury car while a man has been beaten up by a group of motorcyclists in two disturbing assaults on Melbourne roads.

In the first incident, a 49-year-old woman was dragged out of her Mercedes and thrown to the ground in a violent carjacking allegedly carried out by a teenager in Craigieburn.

The woman was driving along Craigieburn Rd when her vehicle was rear-ended by a Mitsubishi about 9.15am on Tuesday.

She pulled over to exchange details with the other driver when she noticed a male occupant from the Mitsubishi running towards her.

The woman tried to lock her doors but was then allegedly dragged out of the car and thrown to the ground, causing cuts to her arms and legs.

The alleged offender then sped off in her Mercedes — crossing over a medium strip onto the wrong side of the road — but crashed into the Mitsubishi after attempting a high-speed turn.

The alleged offender and two occupants from the Mitsubishi then fled the scene on foot.

The trio were chased down by police and arrested at a train station car park off the Hume Freeway.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated carjacking, intentionally cause injury, drive in a manner dangerous and unlicensed driving.

He was remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

The 16-year-old girl and the 26-year-old man were released pending further enquiries.

In the second incident, a 46-year-old Donnybrook man was hospitalised after being assaulted by a group of motorcyclists in Roxburgh Park.

The motorcyclists then fled the scene towards Pascoe Vale Rd.
