Melbourne Victory hooligan graffitis moving train

Video has emerged of a hooligan Melbourne Victory fan graffitiing a moving train with the name of an extreme soccer supporter group.

The footage, captured at a train station in Melbourne, shows the mystery vandal running onto the train tracks and using black spray paint to spell out Nomadi – the name of a thug faction inspired by European soccer thugs.

Donning a purple and white Victory scarf around his neck, he can be seen spraying the phrase “Nomadi Boy 5” onto the right side of the train while it stops to collect passengers.

He then highlights his handiwork with a large, black line that sprays across several windows, obstructing the view of onlooking commuters as the train pulls away from the station.

Nomadi is one of three hardcore factions – including Horda (Spanish for “horde”), M3 – who have about 100 members combined and are among the most extreme splinter groups of supporter group Original Style Melbourne (OSM).

The groups brand themselves as “ultras” in similar fashion to some of Europe’s worst soccer hoodlums, whose members often pose with banners and balaclavas concealing their faces on social media.

Like other members of these extreme groups, the unknown tagger in the video is captured wearing a mask that hides the lower half of his face.

Footage of the incident surfaced just days after tensions mounted at a clash between Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City at AAMI park, during which police were forced to wrestle some aggressive supporters to the ground before escorting them out of the stadium.

Those fans could be seen clashing with police in tense scenes which saw one spectator fall onto his back and onto the concrete ground as officers clashed with other fans.

Some extreme Melbourne Victory supporters have been wreaking havoc in recent weeks, since storming the pitch and hurling a bucket at the head of Melbourne City goalkeeper Tom Glover during a Melbourne derby at AAMI Park on December 17.

It is understood that the majority of the pitch invaders were members of the three hooligan groups who are known to terrorise A-League and suburban soccer games.

A slew of fans have been arrested and probed by investigators over the mayhem, with the Herald Sun revealing the identity of “bucket man” as 23-year-old Alex Agelopoulos, who faces up to 10 years in prison over a string of charges related to the pitch invasion.

The Department of Transport has been contacted for comment.
