Bikie boss Toby Mitchell was spotted at a notorious boxing event where a man was killed in a triple shooting in 2019.
The Mongols president and senior outlaw motorcycle gang member Mark Balsillie were among the underworld figures who attended the Saturday night fight at Melbourne Pavilion in Kensington.
The bikies was there to support kickboxer Sam “The Punisher” Abdulrahim, who was previously jailed over a high-speed crash that killed an elderly woman in Reservoir in 2015.
Mitchell posted a video after the fight of his car being marshalled across the Bolte Bridge by two slow-moving police cars with their emergency lights flashing.
Police have good reason to keep the venue on their radar.
Ben Togiai was shot and killed outside a boxing match held at Melbourne Pavilion in March 2019.
The young father had no serious criminal history and had attended the event with workmates.
Middle Eastern kickboxer Omar Bchinnati and Joseph Abouchaya were also wounded in the gunfire.
The shootings sparked a nationwide manhunt for brothers Abdullah El Nasher and Ali El Nasher and Mikhael Myko, the former boyfriend of Tony Mokbel’s stepdaughter Brittany McGuire.
Each of the men was charged in connection to the shooting.
