A wannabe influencer and her girlfriends allegedly held a man at knifepoint and demanded $100,000 in a bizarre kidnapping, court documents have revealed.

Catherine Colivas, 22 and her friends Angela Davis, 22, and Paris Kennedy, 21, allegedly kidnapped a man at Moorabbin on February 28 this year before assaulting him with a knife as they forced him to cough up almost $40,000 in bitcoin.

The trio fronted the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, facing more than 20 charges relating to the puzzling alleged abduction, including kidnapping, theft and assault offences.

While the exact circumstances are currently unknown, charge sheets allege the three women demanded $100,000 in ransom in exchange for his release, threatening to injure him if he didn’t pay up.

The women are accused of assaulting the man with a knife and intentionally and recklessly causing injury.

The relationship between the women and the man has not yet been revealed but the court heard the kidnapping was linked to “dating apps”.

The brazen trio, allegedly armed with knives, are then accused of demanding $20,000 in bitcoin from another man, believed to be the hostage’s mate.

Court documents allege the three women threatened to injure their captive unless his friend handed over the cryptocurrency.

All up, the women are accused of stealing almost $40,000 from the two men during the alleged violent shakedown.

But according to charge sheets, that wasn’t enough.

Three days later, it’s alleged they broke into the first man’s St Kilda Rd apartment, stealing a PlayStation, five iPhones, blue retro Air Jordan shoes, Balenciaga black sock shoes, Gucci high-tops and a Louis Vuitton backpack, valued at $9640.

Ms Colivas, from Highett, who regularly posts videos on TikTok of her glamorous lifestyle and workout routines, is also accused of possessing a longarm firearm.

She and Ms Kennedy – whose social media shows her drinking at clubs and posing in lingerie – are believed to be close friends.

Ms Davis and Ms Kennedy are facing additional charges relating to an incident at Cairnlea on March 29.

Ms Davis allegedly dealt with multiple stolen bank cards that were the proceeds of crime, while Ms Kennedy is accused of dealing with multiple items of clothing known to be proceeds of crime.

The three women, who are all on bail, will face court again in December.
