Three people arrested over death of woman in Deer Park

Homicide squad detectives are investigating after a woman was found dead in a home in Deer Park on Thursday night, with three people arrested at the scene.

Three people have been arrested after a woman was found dead in Deer Park.

Emergency services were called to a Stevenson St property about 11.45pm Thursday, after responding to reports of an unresponsive woman.

The 51-year-old Deer Park woman was reportedly found with several stab wounds and declared deceased at the scene.

Three people, a 30-year-old man, a 26-year-old woman and a 38-year-old woman – all from Deer Park – were arrested at the property, however the man and younger woman were released without charge.

The 38 year old woman was taken to hospital where she remains under police guard.

The exact circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing, although police believe the parties are known to each other.
