A teenage girl has been stabbed and her assailant is on the run.
Police say a young woman approached a group of people who were sitting on a bench at Ron Andrews Park in Pakenham just after 1pm.
The girl then pulled out a knife and stabbed an 18-year-old girl before fleeing in a car.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
