Police confirmed a man has come forward and spoken to Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Team on Wednesday.
Police confirm they have identified the man they wanted to speak to following the alleged sexual assualt in Richmond on March 27.
A 15-year-old boy was at a park in Highett Street when he was approached by an unknown male.
The man struck up a converstation with the boy before he sexually assaulted him, and fled the scene Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Team detectives will continue to investigate the alleged sexual assault.
