Teen nabbed in Carrum Downs for using scooter to transport drugs

A teen was nabbed by police driving a motorised scooter that was being used as a “mobile marijuana unit” in Carrum Downs.

A Carrum Downs teen was arrested after being caught driving a motorised scooter with an Esky containing drugs.

Police with the assistance of air wing intercepted the Esky that was being driven by a 17-year-old teen on Lyrebird Rd in Carrum Downs about 5pm on Saturday, June 18.

It is alleged the Esky contained drugs including marijuana, scales and a bong, with the scooter being used as a “mobile marijuana unit”.

In a Facebook post on Frankston Eyewatch page, it said: “With some good fortune favouring the boys in blue, POLAIR happened to be in the area and directed the van to where the Esky was located.”

The Esky is now off the road and the teen received a caution for possessing cannabis.
