Teen knife slashed in violent St Albans Park carjacking

An 18-year-old girl has been slashed with a knife in a terrifying carjacking in Geelong on Monday night, with the offenders understood to be still on the run from police.

A teenager has been slashed with a knife in a violent carjacking in Geelong on Monday night, with the offenders on the run.

Two males and a female are understood to have approached a car on Woods Rd in St Albans Park about 4.30pm, with police told the trio threatened a male inside the car with a knife, before approaching a second vehicle shortly afterwards.

It was believed the group assaulted an 18-year-old woman inside the second car before fleeing the scene in her white Suzuki Vitara wagon, a police spokeswoman said.

The teenager — who is being reported as being a surf lifesaver — sustained slash wounds during the incident and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The male victim was not injured.

The carjackers had not been caught as of 7.30pm on Monday night.

It comes after four teenagers, armed with a knife, allegedly carjacked an Uber and led police on a high-speed chase across Melbourne in the early hours of Monday.

It’s alleged those teens got in the Uber near Caulfield Train Station about 1.45am and convinced the driver to take them towards Dandenong.

Near Noble Park, a 15-year-old girl allegedly pulled out a knife and forced the driver from his car.

Police said the foursome were followed, including by the air wing, to Corio in Geelong and then towards Wattle Glen, where they were arrested.

A 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were charged with aggravated carjacking, theft of motor vehicle and driving offences, police said.

A 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were released pending summons.
