A 16-year-old remains in hospital nearly one week on from a vicious armed brawl at the Forest Hill Chase shopping centre where he was stabbed and left fighting for life.

A teenager is in intensive care after a vicious armed brawl at Forest Hill left him fighting for life.

The 16-year-old was stabbed and severely injured in a confrontation between two groups of males at the Forest Hill Chase shopping centre.

Emergency services were called to the scene, a car park off Mahoneys Rd, at 6.50pm last Friday.

Those involved in the brawl were gone when police arrived.

The 16-year-old was found critically injured and taken to hospital by ambulance.

Whitehorse criminal investigation unit detectives are investigating the fracas.

They want to speak to anyone in the car park at the time of the confrontation, in particular the drivers and passengers from a white Hyundai Santa Fe, a silver Toyota Corolla, a black Mazda 3 and a white utility.

Those vehicles were seen entering the car park at around the time of the incident.

Detectives also want to talk to a witness who reported what had happened to shopping centre management.
