Smoke blankets suburbs after caravan factory blaze
A layer of thick black smoke is blanketing suburbs across Melbourne’s inner souther following a factory fire in Moorabbin.

More than 60 firefighters are fighting a factory fire in Moorabbin.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find the fire had taken hold of a single storey caravan workshop on South Rd.
People in nearby suburbs were earlier warned to stay indoors but the threat has since been reduced, with residents now told to open their doors and windows to ventilate their properties.

The alert was issued for residents of Bentleigh, Bentleigh East, Brighton East, Carnegie, Cheltenham, Clarinda, Clayton, Clayton South, Glen Huntly, Hampton East, Heatherton, Highett, Hughesdale, Huntingdale, Malvern East, McKinnon, Moorabbin, Moorabbin East, Murrumbeena, Oakleigh, Oakleigh South and Ormond.
Along with the 60 firefighters, there are also 22 FRV appliances and two FRV specialist ladder appliances on scene.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria are also attending the incident.
Man arrested over Parkdale train station fire
Trains are running express through Parkdale station following a suspicious blaze on Sunday.
Firefighters were called to the fire in a timber railway building shortly before 2.30am.
No one was inside the building at the time of the blaze.
A 20-year-old man of no fixed place of abode was arrested nearby a short time later.
He is assisting police with their enquiries.
The fire was brought under control at 3.13am.
Passengers hoping to catch a train from Parkdale Station had to find another way into the city due to damage caused by the fire.
Police investigations into the fire remain ongoing.
