A second man has been charged over a home invasion in Melbourne’s southeast where Gippsland identity ‘Slick Nick’ was shot.

A second man has been charged over a Pakenham home invasion in which Gippsland identity Nick Chircop was shot.
Detectives from the armed crime squad have charged a 36-year-old from Moe in relation to the wild incident on February 16.
Mr Chircop, known in the Latrobe Valley as “Slick Nick”, suffered a gunshot wound after a confrontation at a Ripplebrook Walk house in the early hours.
The Moe man recently arrested faces counts of home invasion with a firearm, being armed with criminal intent, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, motor vehicle theft, possession of a drug of dependence and handling stolen goods.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said he was remanded to appear in Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on June 6.
Mr Chircop, 31, of Warragul, has also been charged over the Ripplebrook Walk fracas.
In the early stages of the investigation, police said a confrontation occurred between a man from the property and three arrivals.
Mr Chircop later spent some time in hospital under police guard, before being charged with home invasion with a firearm.
He also faces counts of reckless conduct endangering life, intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, theft and motor vehicle theft.
