The son of Real Housewives of Melbourne star Lydia Schiavello told a woman during sex “no one else will have you and you will be mine” in a frightening ordeal which escalated with a barrage of unwanted, disturbing messages and a house call.

Lorenzo Schiavello pleaded guilty at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court to using a carriage service to harass, while his lawyer conceded the 29-year-old had an ugly history with women – but retained the support of his famous family.

The court heard Schiavello – initially charged with stalking – used multiple Instagram accounts to hound a woman after she withdrew consent for sex the night of December 11, 2022.

During intercourse, Schiavello told the woman “I will never let you go again” and “there is no one else for me … you are the girl that got away”.

He also stated “I will marry you and no one else will have you and you will be mine” before the woman withdrew her consent and asked him to leave her house.

The next day, Schiavello reappeared at her doorstep with flowers before embarking on a month-long campaign of incessant abuse via numerous Instagram accounts.

In one message, Schiavello told the victim: “Regardless of that shit f--k we had you can come get ya shoes I brought you”.

The victim was then confronted by Schiavello at a New Year’s Eve party at the Sea Baths in St Kilda.

The court heard he called and messaged her, saying “hands down you’re a slut” and “you look pretty basic and you don’t belong in this crowd”.

The woman reported Schiavello to police, telling them she felt he was trying to track her via his multiple Instagram accounts, which she continually blocked.

Schiavello handed his iPhone over to investigators, but remotely locked it when they tried to search it for evidence, the court heard.

He later made full admissions to his offending, with his lawyer Tass Antos telling the court his client had a “relevant and unenviable” criminal history.

That included stalking charges and posting nude photos of a former girlfriend on Facebook.

“He fails to read the state of play. It’s been a problem for him in the past … he is somewhat indifferent to their negative responses,” Mr Antos said.

The lawyer said Schiavello maintained the support of his family and new fiancee, who he is due to wed next year.

“His family remain supportive of him and have throughout this period of time,” Mr Antos said.

Prosecutors withdrew Schiavello’s stalking charge in exchange for his guilty plea.

He will be sentenced next week.
