Police have arrested a man after a woman was found dead in a CBD apartment two days ago.
The homicide squad arrested Xiaozheng Lin on Thursday afternoon in Preston.
Lin, from Huntingdale, is assisting police with their inquiries.
The body of the victim, a 31-year-old Chinese national, was discovered by her friends in a Latrobe St complex at 8.40pm on Tuesday.
Paramedics attended the scene but could not save the woman, who is believed to be known to Mr Lin.
A post mortem later found her death was suspicious and the homicide squad was called in.
