Senior Liberal MP Georgie Crozier has described the terrifying moment a “drug-affected” man tried to kick down her front door in a brazen attempted home invasion.

Just after 1am on Wednesday night, Ms Crozier woke to a strange noise.

She was home alone at the time.

“Then at about 1.20am my security breached and gave me a notification and I could see someone in the vision and he was at the front door,” she told the Herald Sun.

“I could see the live vision and he was going around the back and trying to break into the window of my townhouse.”

She began yelling at him.

“I yelled out the window and I told him to nick off but he continued to try and break in,” she said.

“He came around to the front and tried to kick in the front door in,” she said.

“I was pretty shaken at that point.”

The shadow health minister said police arrived quickly, comforting her as she handed over images from her CCTV.

Looking back at the footage, she watched as the man scaled her fence “like a cat burglar” and got onto her kitchen roof.

“It was brazen, and I was yelling out at him but he was clearly drug affected.

“It was just terrifying.”
