Melbourne home of gangland widow Roberta Williams raided
Dozens of officers swooped on the home of Roberta Williams — who was married to gangland kingpin Carl Williams before he was murdered in prison — in the early hours of Thursday morning as part of a fraud squad probe.

Roberta Williams has been raided by multiple federal agencies as part of a fraud probe.
Officers from the Australian Federal Police, Services Australia and the National Disability Investigation Agency raided Williams’ northern suburbs home on Thursday morning.
No charges have been laid against Williams, who is well known to police.
They were also seen searching at least two cars parked at Williams’ home.
Dozens of detectives from the AFP’s fraud fusion task force searched the contents of her home for most of the day.
A woman also shielded her face from television cameras using a white hoodie.
No charges had been laid as of Thursday afternoon.
Williams was married to gangland kingpin Carl Williams before he was murdered inside Barwon Prison in 2010.
“The AFP is conducting operational activity in Melbourne (on Thursday) as part of a Fraud Fusion Taskforce investigation led by Services Australia,” an AFP statement read.
“This investigation remains ongoing. Further comment will be provided at an appropriate time.”
