A job hunter who had just finished applying for a position has been killed after being struck by a truck while crossing Burwood Rd.

A man had applied for a job at a local supermarket at a Melbourne inner city suburb minutes before he tragically died after being hit by a truck.
The male pedestrian died at the scene after he was hit while crossing Burwood Rd, Hawthorn, near the Power St intersection about 9am Tuesday.
A 34-year-old male truck driver from St Albans stopped at the scene and spoke with police.
Staff at the IGA supermarket on Burwood Rd said the man had walked into the shop to apply for a job before the incident.
Other businesses on the street said they did not see the incident, only seeing police setting up the crime scene while coming in for work.
Police shut Burwood Rd between Hawthorn train station and Power St for about four hours while they conducted an investigation, which remains on going.
