Man dies after Crown food court fight

A man who suffered critical head injuries after a fight at a Crown Casino food court has died in hospital.

A man involved in a Crown Casino food court fight has died.

The 29-year-old from Mentone died in hospital on Tuesday night after being taken to hospital early on Sunday morning.

Three men had allegedly been involved in a fracas in the food court at 12.20am.

The homicide squad is investigating the circumstances of the Mentone man’s death.

A 26-year-old Highton man was on Sunday charged with recklessly causing injury and has been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on August 31.

A 29-year-old Colac man was released pending further enquiries.

The man was rushed to the Alfred hospital on Sunday morning in a critical condition but his status did not improve.

The investigation is ongoing.
