Man charged over burglary of 99-year-old’s Toorak home
A man has been arrested after allegedly robbing a 99-year-old, who confronted his intruder during the incident at an exclusive Toorak address.

Police investigating the aggravated burglary of a 99-year-old man’s home in an exclusive Toorak street have made a breakthrough.
Detectives from Stonnington CIU have arrested and charged a 38-year-old over the break-in on the victim’s Lansell Rd apartment on April 16.
The victim was home when a man entered at 7.45am, stealing a laptop and a mobile phone.
The 99-year-old confronted him then followed the intruder outside where he saw him drive away in a silver Lexus sedan.
Detectives last week tracked what they say is the same Lexus to a laneway near a city residence in Pask St.
A Melton man was later charged with aggravated burglary, evading police, car theft, fraud using registration plates, possessing methylamphetamine and bail offences.
He has been remanded in custody.
