Anti-bikie detectives have arrested one man and carried out raids as part of an investigation into the Bros gang.

Officers from the Echo Taskforce executed warrants on home at Altona, Werribee, Tarneit and Yarraville.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said investigators seized mobile phones, fireworks, ammunition and a home-made handgun.

Drugs and a “significant quantity of cash” were also confiscated.

A Tarneit man, 43, was arrested and remains in police custody.

Police say he is expected to be charged with drugs and firearm related offences.

The Bros have been an OMCG presence in Melbourne for decades.

They are one of the lower-profile gangs and have a clubhouse in Yarraville.
