Loaded gun allegedly found at Hells Angel’s Reservoir home

Police have ramped up raids on Hells Angels clubhouses after they allegedly found a loaded gun at a Reservoir home of one bikie heavyweight believed to be heading up a new chapter.

Raid leads to Hells Angel bikie arrest

Two more Hells Angels members have been served with firearm prohibition orders amid a rash of police activity surrounding the bikie gang.

On Friday morning, a 43-year-old Richmond man and a 53-year-old Seymour man were handed FPO’s by members of the Echo Taskforce.

An FPO compliance search was also made on the Hells Angels’ Lipton Drive clubhouse, operated by the gang’s Nomad division.

The Lipton Drive stronghold was where Adelaide Hells Angels associate Kerry Giakoumis was last seen alive in June last year.

Missing persons squad detectives believe he was murdered inside the building and his body disposed of elsewhere.

He had earlier visited a property in Richmond and had been due to fly out of Melbourne that night.

Earlier this week, police allegedly found a loaded gun as they served an FPO on the Reservoir home of Melbourne Hells Angel member Luke Moloney.

Moloney has in recent years been a key member of Darkside, an affiliate of the Hells Angels. He is believed to be heading a new city chapter of the feared bikie gang. Hells Angels insiders have disputed that Moloney is the new national president of the gang. They say the position does not exist.

Victoria Police crime command investigators on Wednesday morning raided his home, one of three addresses – linked to the bikie gang – that were searched as police served firearm prohibition orders.

Police say they found the gun and steroids at Moloney’s home after an FPO was served on him.

Moloney was denied bail at the Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday night.

Moloney’s lawyer Damien Sheales said he did not “take issue” with the evidence on Moloney’s role at the Hells Angels after the court was told he was believed to be the national president of the city chapter.

Magistrate Rose Falla denied bail because the “possession of any firearm is very serious”.

Moloney will return to court on August 19.

Two other men, both alleged to be patched Hells Angels, were also served with FPOs on Wednesday.

They were a 22-year-old, from Mickleham, and a 56-year-old, from Essendon

FPO’s impose severe gun-related restrictions on recipients, whose homes, businesses and vehicles can be searched without a warrant.

Breaches can result in prison terms of up to 10 years.
