Lamborghini driver charged after allegedly hitting cyclist on Chapel St, Prahran

A sports car driver is facing high-level charges after a cyclist was allegedly hit while crossing Chapel St.

A Lamborghini driver has been hit with high-level charges after a cyclist was seriously injured in Prahran on Saturday night.

A 24-year-old Sunshine man was allegedly driving the sports car along busy Chapel St, near Walker St, just after 10.30pm.

Police said a 46-year-old man who was crossing the road on his bicycle was then struck by the white Lamborghini.

The rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries and a 14-year-old passenger in the Lamborghini suffered minor injuries.

Police said the Sunshine West man at the wheel was interviewed and charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury and reckless conduct endangering life.

He was bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on October 16.
