IBAC makes call on alleged road rage incident involving top cop Neil Paterson

The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission has completed its investigation into a traffic dispute between Deputy Commissioner Neil Paterson and a motorist which allegedly occurred at pick-up time outside Haileybury College.

A complaint made to Victoria’s peak anti-corruption body about a road rage incident allegedly involving top cop Neil Paterson has been closed.

The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission delved into the traffic dispute between Deputy Commissioner Paterson and a motorist which allegedly occurred at pick-up time outside Haileybury College’s Melbourne campus last year.

On Thursday night IBAC released a statement saying: “IBAC investigated the matter, has written to Victoria Police and it is now closed.”

Mr Paterson is on leave from Victoria Police after he was informed his contract would not be renewed in February.

He has since lodged a complaint with IBAC alleging that his dismissal was unlawful.
