A Hoppers Crossing man has been charged over a street shooting in Melbourne’s west.
Wyndham CIU detectives have been investigating gunfire which erupted in Bellbridge Drive on Monday after a confrontation between several people.
One person was taken to hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening after the incident at 11.30am.
A local primary school was sent into lockdown at the height of the drama.
Wyndham crime investigation unit detectives have on Tuesday charged a 24-year-old Hoppers Crossing man with affray, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, possessing a traffickable quantity of firearms and bail offences.
A handgun, sawn-off rifle, an imitation gun and a Taser were seized under warrant from his Bellbridge Drive home.
He will face court later on Tuesday.
