The jury in the Greg Lynn murder trial has been discharged.
Justice Michael Croucher told a jury of 14 he was discharging them on Friday morning, as opening addresses were due to start in what's expected to be a four to six week trial.
After a joint application by the prosecution and defence, Justice Croucher discharged the jury without a verdict.
A new jury is expected to be empanelled on Monday.

Mr Lynn, 57, has pleaded not guilty to the murders of Russell Hill, 74, and Carol Clay, 73, who vanished in the Wonnangatta Valley in Victoria's alpine region in March 2020.

Mr Lynn has just been brought into the dock. He is wearing a dark-coloured suit with a blue shirt and silver tie. He began reading through documents once he took his seat. Mr Lynn’s wife Melanie is seated upstairs in the public gallery with a young man, believed to be the couple's son.
