A former Finks bikie with links to violent underworld figures has been stabbed outside his inner city apartment.

Ugur Okanlar, who has previously been named as a member of the Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG), was allegedly slashed in his right leg about 7am on Tuesday in what police say could be a targeted attack.

The 35-year-old, who also goes by the name Pasha Okanlar, had a string of weapons, drugs and perverting the course of justice charges dropped in relation to a botched murder hit on Mongols bikie Rocco Curra in 2019.

Curra was sitting in his car at Bulleen St when two gunmen sprayed a hail of bullets into the vehicle, shooting him four times in the head and torso and forcing him to undergo emergency surgery to remove one of the bullets from his brain.

It was alleged in court that Mr Okanlar had close links with the men believed to be involved in the near-deadly shooting.

But early on Tuesday, Mr Okanlar could be seen sitting inside an ambulance with a bandage taped around his stab wound.

“Stabbed in the leg first thing in the morning,” he wrote in a social media post.

The attack unfolded downstairs at his Southbank apartment near Coventry St, where neighbours woke to find police surrounding the building.

The stabbing comes a day after Mr Okanlar fronted court on drug charges.

The Melbourne Magistrates’ Court heard police last year raided his home after neighbours reported concerns a dispute was taking place inside.

Mr Okanlar was found to be home alone, arguing over the phone with his girlfriend.

However a firearm search took place as Mr Okanlar is subject to a firearm prohibition order.

Police found drugs including cocaine, cannabis, steroids and cash.

On Monday Mr Okanlar pleaded guilty to trafficking cocaine, possessing cannabis, possessing anabolic steroids and knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime.

Magistrate James Henderson sentenced him to a 12-month community corrections order and ordered he undertake 100 hour of community work.

Police are investigating whether the alleged stabbing was targeted.

Paramedics took Mr Okanlar to hospital and his injury was non life-threatening.

Mr Okanlar has been closely associated with a number of underworld figures and violent incidents.

His close friend Richard Arow and bouncer Aaron Khalid Osmani died after they were gunned down outside the Love Machine nightclub in 2019.

Mr Okanlar at the time reportedly blamed himself for Mr Arow being caught up in the gunfire.

“My heart is broken, brother you were something different like you were a true brother, a real one, always kept it real and kept it 100 per cent,” he wrote.

“So many laughs, so many tears we had my brother, we always had each other’s back but on this one time I wasn’t there look what happened.”

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said investigators were piecing together the exact circumstances surrounding Mr Okanlar’s alleged stabbing.
