A man has been found in the middle of a Melton street with a gunshot wound after he crashed his car, as images show the moment a local tries to help.

An arrest has been made and a gun seized after a dramatic western suburbs shooting.
Confronting images showed the moments the victim was found with a gunshot wound in the middle of a Melton street.
The victim, in tracksuit pants and a T-shirt, appeared to have suffered a severe leg injury.
That man was found by police after crashing his car at the intersection of Raleigh Rd and Leicester Crescent just before 9am on Sunday.
Images show him being comforted by another man as locals waited for emergency services.
Locals were alerted to the situation by the victim’s screams as he lay in agony on the road. Aged in his 30s, he was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition where he is being treated for injuries described as not life-threatening.
One possibility is that the victim was shot elsewhere and crashed while trying to get away from whoever pulled the trigger.
A Volkswagen SUV was near the scene where the man was found injured.
A large contingent of detectives and plainclothes officers converged on the scene in the aftermath of the incident.
Investigators have spoken to witnesses and are expected to examine CCTV for further evidence of what happened and who is responsible.
A weapon, believed to be a sawn-off shotgun, was recovered near the incident scene.
A man was arrested near Wolfe Rd on Sunday afternoon.
“He is currently assisting police with investigation inquiries,” a Victoria Police statement said.
Detectives from the armed crime squad made a search of a property in the neighbourhood. The critical incident response team, equipped with a special armoured vehicle, was on the scene to assist.
“The investigation remains ongoing,” the police statement said.
