Commuter chaos after person hit by train at Ringwood station
The morning commute has been thrown into chaos in Melbourne’s east with delays of more than 45 minutes after a person was hit by a train at Ringwood.

Commuters from Melbourne’s east have been told to brace for major delays this morning after a person was hit by a train at Ringwood about 6am on Tuesday.
Replacement buses are running between Ringwood and Blackburn in both directions on the Blackburn and Lilydale train lines.
Metro Trains has advised people to add about 45 minutes to their journey.
Services are expected to be disrupted until 10am.
Trains will continue to run from Flinders St to Blackburn and between Ringwood and Belgrave/Lilydale.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A police spokesman said: “Police will prepare a report for the coroner after a man was struck by a train in Ringwood on 11 July”.
