Lynette Dawson’s family has asked her killer to “do the right thing” and tell them where her body is.

As the family reeled from the guilty verdict delivered to her husband Chris Dawson, Ms Dawson’s brother Greg Simms said there could not be closure until his sister is laid to rest.

“The journey is not complete. She is still missing. We still need to bring her home,” Mr Simms said.

Mr Simms and his wife, Merilyn, called on the convicted killer, to reveal where he buried her.

The family, wearing pink in honour of Lynette, hugged outside court saying they finally had justice.

Moments earlier, as the judge handed down his guilty verdict, and Chris Dawson was led away in handcuffs, Lyn’s family embraced, and applauded.

Mr Simms hugged journalist Hedley Thomas — the man behind the Teacher’s Pet podcast which delved into Lyn’s disappearance — and the former lead Detective on the case, Damian Loone.
