Chairs thrown in wild Chapel St brawl

Disturbing footage has emerged of a savage brawl on Chapel St that left a man in hospital, with chairs and punches thrown during the fight.

A concerning video has emerged of a violent brawl between four men on Chapel St on Sunday morning.

A video posted to social media shows a series of punches being thrown by a group of men.

The fight then spilt out onto the road coming dangerously close to oncoming traffic.

It is understood a man has been injured in the altercation and has been taken to hospital.

A security guard can be seen rushing to intervene and attempt to break up the fight.

Police are continuing their investigation of the assault and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

It is understood the offenders fled the scene on foot.

Shaun Samulenok, was skateboarding along Chapel St with headphones in when he was alerted to the “drama”.

“I saw the fight break out at the intersection of Chapel St and Lucky Coq, one of the guys in the white shirt started talking to a BMW driver because he was on his phone,” Mr Samulenok said.

It is understood the fight began from comments being made from a car window before a fight spilt out onto the streets.

“They were communicating very disrespectfully to each other and had cross words.”

“Everyone has their egos out and started to escalate, the guy in the white shirt kept yelling,” he said.
