Camberwell Grammar student arrested after schoolyard fight
A 16-year-old Camberwell Grammar student has been arrested and is expected to face charges after a brutal schoolyard fight that left teachers and students shocked.

A male student at an up-market eastern suburbs private school was arrested by police following an on-campus fight with another student on Wednesday.
It is understood the incident was a stabbing, although this was not confirmed by the school.
The year 10 student from Camberwell Grammar is assisting police with their inquiries.
Teachers and boys were left stunned and shocked by the incident that took place late morning and involved the attendance of both police and ambulance services.
A Victoria police spokeswoman said police were investigating an assault in Canterbury on Wednesday, May 3.
“It is understood there was an altercation between two male students at a school on Mont Albert Rd about 11.30am,” she said.
“One of the boys sustained a minor laceration which did not require hospital treatment.
“The other boy was arrested and is assisting police with their inquiries.”
On Thursday, police said a 16-year-old boy was interviewed and released.
He was expected to be charged on summons with assault-related offences.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics were called to an incident in Canterbury at about 12.30pm Wednesday.
“No emergency treatment or transport was required,” she said.
It comes as Camberwell Grammar students were allegedly bashed at Ashburton train station on April 19. The incident involved younger boys and caused great concern among parents.
The prestigious grammar school located in leafy Canterbury charges more than $37,000 in annual fees for year 12 students.
