A Broadford man facing more than 60 child sexual assault charges and allegedly threatening to kill someone has been remanded in custody.

A man facing more than 60 child sexual assault charges has been remanded in custody.
Police arrested the 38-year-old Broadford man after raiding his home on Friday morning.
He has been charged with 63 counts of sexual activity in the presence of a child under the age of 16, grooming for sexual conduct with a child under the age of 16, threatening to commit a sexual offence, stalking and making threats to kill.
Police say his alleged offending took place in the Broadford area, about 90km north of Melbourne, between December last year and as recently as this month.
The man has been remanded in custody and is now due to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on July 29.
Police on Friday said the man had been bailed but he has now been remanded.
