Brighton Influencer and crime crusader Bec Judd has unleashed a blistering attack on the state government over the youth crime crisis, labelling Jacinta Allan as “the premier who made Victoria unsafe.”
The Brighton resident has long been a vocal critic against rising violence in Melbourne’s bayside area, regularly condemning the Allan government for their “lack of action”.
Judd released the scathing Instagram story on Sunday in response to request from a follower to “please maintain the vocal rage against the Allan government, and the lack of consequences and ongoing bail for violent young people”.
Judd told her followers she “will not stay quiet on this until Victorians feel safe in their homes again.”
“Jacinta Allan will lose the election because of her government’s lack of action on spiralling Youth Crime (among other things).
“It requires a multi-pronged approach of both immediate, short term and long term/preventative measures and yet we hear NOTHING from her.
“I will always remember her as the Premier who made Victoria unsafe, cared more about violent offenders than innocent, hardworking citizens that didn’t even bother to address it when her constituents and Police begged for Leadership.”
Judd also posted to her Instagram a dramatic video of three teenagers being arrested after allegedly stealing a car in Brighton last week.
The footage shows the dramatic arrest as two 16-year-old boys and a 16-year-old girl were dragged from a vehicle after being intercepted by police.
Judd’s comments follow shock figures released exclusively to the Herald Sun which revealed over 100 kids aged between 10 and 17 years were involved in at least 30 crimes each in 2024.
In one disturbing instance a violent teenage offender was bailed 67 times in 2024 alone, while in November a 14 year old boy led police on a chase during a three day crime spree before being bailed for the 50th time.
The Herald Sun revealed in June a child criminal breached bail every three hours across the state.
