36-year-old man shot during an alleged targeted burglary in Victoria’s west

Police are hunting for a group after a man was shot in an allegedly targeted burglary at a Horsham home.

A man was shot during what police have described as a targeted aggravated burglary in Horsham.

Emergency services were called to a Cecil St property about 7.15am on Friday.

They were called to reports multiple offenders had broken into the residence.

The resident, a 36-year-old man, was shot and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“The offenders fled the scene and no arrests have been made,” a police statement said.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined but police believe this is a targeted incident.”

The investigation is ongoing.
