The questions are pouring in for Gary Jubelin ahead of tonight’s live event.

The former homicide detective, now best-selling author across Australia, is back with the hotly-anticipated third series of his true crime podcast I Catch Killers— and with all-new content, plenty of surprises and a fair few risks, he reckons it’s “our best season ever”.

Ahead of Episode One’s launch at the weekend, tonight (Wednesday) Jubelin is holding a free live online event to discuss the new season, showcase a new video element and reveal exciting news about another big project.

He will also be answering fans’ questions — loads are coming in, covering topics ranging from NSW’s biggest crime cases to Gary’s self-care regime (!). Don’t worry, there is still time to register your question: just email ask.gary@news.com.au

As part of the event, to be broadcast on the True Crime Australia Facebook page, Claire Harvey will interview Jubelin on what listeners can expect in Season Three.

To kick off the new podcast season Jubelin reunites with former policeman Jason Semple, who was a young constable that had only been in the job for two weeks when he was brutally stabbed on a Sydney street in an incident that also claimed the life of his colleague Peter Forsyth.

Semple recalls the tragedy of that night and how he rebuilt himself to become a powerful presence in the police, with the promise that he would never again be a victim.

The added twist to the story is that Jubelin was sent to the hospital the morning after Semple’s stabbing to get what was thought to be his dying declaration.

Jubelin, whose debut bookI Catch Killers became a smash hit last year, says he is super excited about Season Three’s guests and that their rawness and honesty will take listeners into a world that is rarely talked about.

He will interview not only fellow crimefighters — but also those who have ended up on the wrong side of the law.

And with every guest there is bonus video for this masthead’s subscribers which will take you even further into their worlds. Get it all at icatchkillers.com.au.

“We have taken a few risks with Season Three and really found a diverse groups of guests, covering the world of crime from all perspectives. The stories they have to tell are sad, funny, at times shocking but also inspirational,” said Jubelin.

“I have learnt so much sitting down chatting with the these guests and every one of them has left a deep impression on me.
