The ex-girlfriend of Ultra Tune magnate Sean Buckley has copped a $500 fine for contempt after she shared secret and “confidential” recordings of the millionaire.

Bikini model Jennifer Cruz Cole – who is locked in a legal stoush with her former flame over some 100 tapes she recorded – has pleaded guilty to contempt in the Victorian Supreme Court.

Ms Cole admitted she’d shared the recordings with two people in March, despite a court injunction banning her from doing just that.

It comes amid a bitter feud between the Ultra Tune executive chairman and his former girlfriend of three years, who once starred in a Baywatch-style advertisement for the car repairs company alongside actor Pamela Anderson.

Mr Buckley took the mother of his child to civil court in the hope of stopping the tapes from becoming public, or to have them destroyed.

The recordings, which allegedly portray an attack on Ms Cole by Mr Buckley, were made before their December 2020 break-up.

Earlier hearings have been told the recordings contained material of “significant confidentiality”.

Lawyer John Searle, for the magnate, also accused Ms Cole of making “wild allegations against Mr Buckley” and trying to put them on the public record through affidavits “for all to see”.

Ms Cole’s plea of guilty to contempt of court on Tuesday ended months of arguments over the potential breach of the injunction, while the substantive matter over the tapes was still yet to be resolved.

During at times colourful court hearings, Ms Cole was quizzed in May over whether she might wish to adopt the “Bart Simpson defence” of “I didn’t do it”, or admit her guilt and throw herself at the mercy of the court.

It appeared she chose the latter, with the side saga ending on Wednesday.

Justice Andrew Keogh found she breached a court order made on February 19 this year by sending recordings to two people as attachments to text messages. He fined her $500 and ordered her to pay Mr Buckley’s costs.

The case will return to court at a later date.
