VICTORIA’S Great Ocean Road Tourist Park has been voted Australia’s most popular holiday park.

The coastal getaway topped a national survey of more than 3000 people by holiday parks website Turu.com.au, to find holidaymakers favourite caravan/camping destinations in each state, territory and specialist category.

Where’s the best caravan park you’ve stayed? Share your tip.

The Great Ocean Road Tourist Park was a popular choice being within easy reach of the Twelve Apostles and other sights along Victoria’s rugged coastline.

Turu.com.au general manager Robert Gallagher said: “Empty nesters, or grey nomads, are but one part of the picture with plenty of young Aussies enjoying nothing more than a laid-back getaway in the van or the tent.

“All our state and specialist award categories have been keenly contested, and all the finalists represent a great holidaying experience - so a special congratulations to our winners on a wonderful achievement.”
