Tinder wants you to use Apple TV with your family to swipe right

TINDER has a disturbing new feature that works by involving your direct family in your online dating life. It’s every bit as suss as it sounds.

I AM not saying Tinder’s new feature is creepy, actually, no, that’s exactly what I am saying.

The infamous dating app has added a new feature it describes as “the biggest thing to hit family night since Yahtzee”.

Yes, you read that correctly — Tinder is attempting to make your online dating life a family activity and it hopes to achieve this super disturbing goal by adding the app to Apple TV.

“With a new, swipeable remote control and the world’s hottest app now in HD, modern dating is taking a page from the age-old book of matchmaking,” Tinder wrote.

“Bringing people together is what we do, and we’re even more excited to be able to combine all the joys of swiping with all the comforts of home.”

The dating app went as far as offering a terrible, terrible example of how they envision the family swiping to take place.

“Why swipe alone when you can let Aunt Donna have a say? She’s known you since you were two; she’s watched you grow,” Tinder wrote.

“If she says you should swipe right on that nice girl in the penguin costume, you swipe right on that nice girl in the penguin costume. Seriously man, show Aunt Donna some respect.”

How about Aunt Donna shows me some respect by not trying to muscle in on my game?

Thankfully, Tinder has shown some foresight and made it only possible to swipe right or left using Apple TV — all messaging and profile edits have to take place your smartphone.

In all honesty, ensuring Aunt Donna can’t real all the smutty comments you have sent to matches is probably the only good thing about this largely horrendous concept.

For those with dubious people wanting to use the feature, Tinder on Apple TV is now available in the App Store worldwide.

Personally, I will just continue to powerswipe in privacy.
