Nintendo fans lose it over Luigi’s bulge

FIRST it was Mario’s nipples that set tongues wagging. Now Luigi’s groin has sent fans into a meltdown.

EVEN everyone’s favourite cartoon characters aren’t safe from the salacious depravity of the internet.

That sad truth was reinforced after Nintendo fans went nuts over Luigi’s nether regions this week.

The Japanese gaming company released an image of the character as part of its forthcoming Mario Tennis Aces game coming to the Switch later this year. Obviously you can’t play tennis in overalls, so instead of his regular attire, Luigi appears in the game wearing some rather revealing shorts.

And fans don’t quite know what to do about it.

First it was Mario’s nipples which set tongues wagging but now it’s Luigi’s groin that has aroused debate.

Some gamers aren’t thrilled to be forced to think about the moustachioed plumber character as a sexual being, while others have gone to great lengths to better understand the true extent of his manhood.

Nintendo has always been super family friendly, going out of its way to keep things G-rated.

But sadly there’s nothing you can do about the internet ...
