AUSTRALIA’S longest running television show about video games has been cancelled and people are far from pleased
On the official Facebook page, ABC’s Good Game released a statement announcing the highly-popular TV show wouldn’t be returning to air.
“After the program’s summer break, two of the key presenters of Good Game announced they were leaving to pursue other opportunities,” the statement read.
“In light of this major setback, and changes in the way audiences are choosing to get their information about gaming, the ABC has decided to end the long and successful run of the show.”
It was later revealed Stephanie ‘Hex’ Bendixsen and Nich ‘Nichboy’ Richardson were the two cast members to depart, with the ABC announcing it would retain the remaining Good Game team.
“Good Game pioneered video game TV. Its commitment and innovation has been repeatedly and appropriately awarded,” the statement added.
“The show has had a tremendous run and plenty of adventures, none of which would have happened without the ongoing love and support of you, the GG community.”
As expected, the news has been with met with shock from the Australian gaming community.
Good Game was such an important part of growing up as an Aussie gamer â a voice of reason and passion that will be sorely missed.

@MomentsAU @GoodGameTV who else will show us how to play harder, and jump higher? ABC should cut some of their many food shows instead #boo
