Amazon’s terms and conditions give details of what to do in a zombie outbreak

IN THE terms and conditions of its new software engine, Amazon has a very strange stipulation that could save your life.

ONLINE retailer Amazon doesn’t want its new software engine to be used with medical equipment, automated transportation systems or nuclear facilities.

Of course, they are willing to void these conditions in the event of zombie apocalypse.

These stipulations are explicitly detailed in the Terms and Conditions for Amazon’s new Lumberyard engine — free development software used to create video games.

“The Lumberyard Materials are not intended for use with life-critical or safety-critical systems, such as use in operation of medical equipment, automated transportation systems, autonomous vehicles, aircraft or air traffic control, nuclear facilities, manned spacecraft, or military use in connection with live combat,” the terms and conditions read.

Hey Rick, I think we can use that software now.

Thankfully, developers can use the open-source software to power autonomous vehicles and operate weaponry if TheWalking Dead becomes a reality.

“This restriction will not apply in the event of the occurrence (certified by the United States Centres for Disease Control or successor body) of a widespread viral infection transmitted via bites or contact with bodily fluids that causes human corpses to reanimate and seek to consume living human flesh, blood, brain or nerve tissue and is likely to result in the fall of organised civilisation.”

The free software is designed to give game developers the ability to quickly create virtual environment for characters of their creation.

Designers will have a number of scenarios they can work from including space, a woodland, a beach diner or the Wild West.

Games created on the platform can be played on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
