A SELF-DESCRIBED Satanist nurse who posted pictures of herself posing with dead patients on Facebook has been fined by a court.

Blaze Binder, a 37-year-old nursing home worker from Ebersol, Switzerland, published the photos last year with the caption "Guess if she is asleep or dead".

The court in St Gallen found Ms Blaze guilty of "violating the peace of the dead" and fined her 1200 Swiss francs ($1487), The Local reported.

The dead woman's relatives were horrified by her actions. The woman's son Ruedi Forrer, 66, said: "The images must instantly disappear from the internet.

"I do not understand for the life of me how such a thing can happen in a retirement home."

Adding to the scandal surrounding Ms Blaze, who local media nicknamed "devil nurse", were other pictures on her Facebook page of Ms Blaze dressed as a "dominatrix" and advertising her services as the "queen of pleasures".

Ms Blaze, who goes by the name "Ghostinthedark MistressBlaze Satanas" on Facebook, defended the pictures in an interview with Swiss newspaper Blick when the images were first revealed.

She said they were "beautiful pictures" and that death was part of everyday life at the nursing home.

"I do not understand that people are upset about the photos."
