Hype builds over Michael Jordan documentary after trailer released
Basketball fans have gone into a tizz after ESPN dropped a trailer for what will likely be the most popular sports documentary ever produced.

Tongues are wagging after ESPN dropped its trailer for an upcoming 10-part documentary on NBA legend Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.
The teaser landed early on Christmas morning (AEDT) and gave basketball fans even more reason to look forward to June — the month the NBA Finals take place — because that’s also when The Last Dance will be officially released.
Chicago was a powerhouse in the 1990s, winning six championships with Jordan on its roster and the series will delve into the NBA icon’s final season with the Bulls in 1997-98 as well as the events leading up to the break-up of one of basketball’s most powerful dynasties.
The one-minute wrap features some of the 100 personalities who will feature in the doco including fellow basketballers like Dennis Rodman and Charles Barkley, musician and movie star Justin Timberlake, actress Carmen Electra and even former US president Barack Obama.

The debate over whether modern-day megastar LeBron James or Jordan are the true GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) of the sport continues to divide but there’s no doubt His Airness is the most universally loved figure to ever strut his stuff on the hardwood.
A 14-time All-Star and five-time league MVP, Jordan is one of world sport’s most recognisable faces and judging by the reaction to this trailer there’ll be no shortage of people waiting impatiently for showtime.
American sports anchor Brad Galli said “Holy smokes this looks incredible” on Twitter as a host of others also added to the hype.
