The Irish fighter’s return date is still unknown after his highly-anticipated comeback fight against Michael Chandler was axed due to a toe injury.

The mixed martial artist, though, is still attracting the spotlight as a shocking clip of him has now gone viral, The Sun reports.

McGregor is shown strolling through a shopping centre as a fan is heard yelling “Let’s go Khabib”, in what appears to be a quip directed at the Irishman.

The location and date in which the clip is recorded is not known.

McGregor and Nurmagomedov, both 36, took part in the biggest fight in UFC history in October 2018.

Then lightweight champion Nurmagomedov emerged victorious from the UFC 229 grudge match, submitting McGregor via a fourth-round neck crank.

Just last week UFC fans were left stunned when McGregor launched a shocking social media rant aimed at Nurmagomedov - including a racial slur.

Last month a jury found in a civil case last November that McGregor had sexually assaulted Nikita Hand - who accused him of rape in a Dublin hotel in 2018.

Judge Mr Justice Owens said a jury had determined that McGregor assaulted Ms Hand on 9 December 2018 in the Beacon Hotel in Dublin.

She was awarded $AUD420,000 in damages.
