TENNIS fans who paid top dollar to watch Aussie star Ash Barty on Saturday were left fuming following a last minute decision to move her match.

Barty was originally listed as the third match on Rod Laver Arena however, the schedule was thrown into chaos after a marathon women’s match.

In what was the first match of the day, Simona Halep and Lauren Davis completed a near four hour epic which ended 15-13 in the third set.

With the second match of the day, pitting Alexander Zverev and Chung Hyeon, locked at one set all, organisers made the call to move the Barty match.

Australian Open organisers confirmed anyone with a Rod Laver Arena ticket or a Margaret Court Arena ticket could get in to watch Barty take on Naomi Osaka.

However, many fans were still upset.

Former tour player Rennae Stubbs said getting Barty away from Rod Laver Arena was a win for Osaka.

“Ash has handled herself so beautifully on Rod Laver. If it is anything about moving the court, it certainly helps Osaka more than Ash,” she said.
