EVERYONE knew it was only a matter of time! But in truth Nick Kyrgios could hardly be blamed for blowing his stack after being asked a question that could only be described as bizarre. Watch it here!

Nick Kyrgios fires back at 'bizarre' question from U.S. reporter

IT WAS a tough day on all fronts for the Americans at Melbourne Park on day one of the Australian Open with a string of seeded casualties, including Venus Williams and John Isner.

It didn’t get any better in the media interview room when one of Uncle Sam’s veterans decided to ask Nick Kyrgios an obscure, and slightly off Broadway question about former NFL star Colin Kaepernick.

“You’re friends with the American football player Colin Kaepernick, have been supportive of him in the past. Where are your thoughts on him not being re-signed?” the reporter asked.

Nick Kyrgios had to fend off a bizarre question from a journalist in his post-match press conference.

Kyrgios wasn’t impressed, shutting down the question and abruptly ending what, until then, had been a convivial exchange with reporters.

“I don’t think I’ve ever spoken a word to him in my life,” Kyrgios said.

“I mean, where is that question even coming from? We’re at the Australian Open, man. Are we done?”

The same journalist managed to offend Nicolas Mahut at the 2014 French Open, congratulating him on winning when he had actually lost.
